Coasting For Kids at Worlds of Fun, Kansas City, Missouri

Hey look it is Bond's favorite ride the Boomerang!

Actually Bond hates Vekoma Boomerangs and is on a self imposed "Boomerang free diet". The reason he looks so mad here is that each year while fund raising for Coasting For Kids he and I place a little wager on whoever will raise the most for Coasting For Kids. Whoever raised the least had to go to Six Flags St. Louis and ride their Boomerang, a ride Bond has yet to try. Coming into the final day Bond was leading me by $24 as many had taken pity on him hoping to spare him the discomfort. Keeping me from riding Boomerang was Michael Morris who at the last minute decided to help me expand Bond's coaster count and donated $25 pushing me over Bond's $315 raised by just $1.

As a result Bond wasn't in the best of mood to see any Boomerang, even a pretty good one like Worlds of Fun's. Don't worry though I will get photos of Bond on Six Flags St. Louis' Boomerang later this year.

It is so cool that Nelly and Phileas have their own car to drive around Worlds of Fun in.

What is even cooler is that there's an Orient Express bumper sticker on the back of the car. If you don't know of course Worlds of Fun is themed after "Around the World in 80 Days" and the Orient Express used to be World's of Fun's big coaster before being removed in 2003.

It looks like there is a new Sherriff in town at Worlds of Fun!
