If you remember the time when the Sunday newspaper was one of the few ways one could be informed with what was going on in the world then you also remember the best part of the paper was the comics section that was tucked in the middle. Toon Lagoon is a big homage to many of the cartoons that would grace the Sunday funnies.

Flash......ahhhhhhhhh! He saved every one of us!

Sorry about that strange Flash Gordon interlude. Growing up in the1970's and 1980's I have a fondness for the horribly cheesy Flash Gordon movie that Queen did the soundtrack for. It is a total guilty pleasure.

Popeye and Betty Boop were on hand to greet guests. As you can see they were keeping masked and socially distancing due to the pandemic.

Again Universal really added so many special little things to Islands of Adventure is evident all over Toon Lagoon. There are photo opportunities aplenty abound like this rope you can hang from and have a photo taken of that makes it look as if Marmaduke was pulling you around.
