Geauga Lake Aurora, Ohio 1999 Page 3
The Big Dipper is a wild out and back with monster airtime! It has National Amusement Devices trains which are the most comfortable trains on any wooden coaster that I've ridden. There's padding all around you and there's even padding so your knees won't get hurt.
One thing to do on this super ride is to ride by yourself as there are no seat dividers and when it fly's around the turns you slide back and forth in the train.
As you can see by this picture Geauga lake has grown up around the Big Dipper. There are rides, buildings and trees all around the ride making it seem like you'll fly out of your seat into one of them. Another really cool thing about the Big Dipper is that it isn't computer controlled and the whole operation is ran by levers and pulleys just like it was back when this classic opened in 1928. If you get the chance head on down to Aurora Ohio and give Geauga lake a try.
