With Thunderation at Silver Dollar City closing at the end of the
year the River King Mine Train will remain as Missouri's only Arrow
Dynamics designed mine train coaster.
The River King Mine Train may not be the biggest or best mine
train....
...but for a fifty-five year old coaster it is a still a ton of fun
to ride.
My bit question outside of if Mid-America Park will get a new
coaster for 2027 is how are they going to re-theme this park?
The DC Comics Plaza, the Warner Brothers Backlot, and Looney Tunes
Town sections of the park are going to need to be re-themed unless
Enchanted Parks can get DC and Warner to agree to let them continue
using those properties. Personally this park needs a re-theme
or at least a refresh on the themes that are not tied to Six Flags
anyway. My hope is that Enchanted puts that cash into the park
instead of paying for intellectual properties. Why not
re-theme the park to the 1908 Worlds Fair with sections for
industry, the gateway to the west, the world of the future, and an
international section.
With multiple theaters around the park that have been horrible under
utilized for decades it is nice to see shows returning to Six Flags
St. Louis. The entertainment director was one of the forces
behind all of the award winning shows at Six Flags Flags Fiesta
Texas so we should be in good hands. The lineup looks pretty
good with shows that encompass country, rock, pop, movie
soundtracks, and even a train robbery.
