Rookie Racer sits on the site that was where the go kart upcharge attraction at Six Flags St. Louis once sat.  Actually this is the site that was originally planned for Catwoman Whip before the park decided to put that on the former site of the Superman Tower of Power ride.



Rookie Racer is a production model "Jr. Coaster" by Vekoma that has a height of 41 feet and a length of 843 feet.



Rookie Racer is not just built up against the Six Flags Railroad....



...but over it as well.  This placement caused Rookie Racer to be elevated with tall footers so the Tommy G Robinson could travel beneath it.



To those of you who have been reading this blog for ages know that I'm not a big fan of Vekoma's various Boomerang and Suspended Looping Coaster models but this design is something that I can get behind.  The coaster is smooth, solid, and most importantly really a lot of fun.
