The restoration of the Grand Ole Carousel/PTC Carousel #35 at Six Flags St. Louis, Eureka, Missouri

With each horse individually shaped and carved by craftsmen it makes perfect sense for Six Flags St. Louis to give each horse its own name and identity to match the personality of the work of art that they are.

The last time I laid eyes on these horses together they were a sad state.

Most of these horses were covered with faded and flaking paint.

Many of them had huge sections of bare wood where paint had been rubbed off from decades of use.  The condition of this classic carousel was just so sad to see.

With all of the love and care that Six Flags St. Louis has poured into the task of bringing them back to life horses of the Grand Ole Carousel don't look sad anymore.
