When Six Flags first closed the ride to restore it there were hopes that the restoration project might take one to two years at most.

My gut said that it was going to be a considerably larger project so I'm not surprised that they are still working on it.

Hopefully most of the horses and carriages have been restored with just the base left to be worked on.  I'd love to see it up and running next year but if it takes a little longer I won't mind.  Bringing a fully restored Grand Ole Carousel to Six Flags St. Louis is something that I have been looking forward to over the last twenty-four years of Negative-G.

After a day filled with food, friends, plenty of rides getting to finish it off with an hour of uninterrupted Screamin' Eagle Rides just makes it that much better.

Daredevil Daze normally has forty to fifty people attending and with two trains in operation on the Eagle you are free to pick out your favorite seat and just stay there for the entire hour.
