Sunny and warm was the perfect way to kick off my
two week
long holiday vacation. Days like this are why I hope the rumors are
true that Six Flags is considering keeping Six Flags St. Louis open
all year round on the weekends.
This is the Midwest with snow one day and then spring like
temperatures the next day. The kids were a little amused at
riding coasters with the ground covered in snow.
It has been a few years since I list visited Holiday in the Park but
it was nice seeing every coaster open, with the exception of the
three at the back of the park (Eagle, Boomerang and Boss) that were
down for their off season refurbishment.
The
leaves might be pretty in the fall but the River King Mine Train
looks great no matter what season it is.
Emily is a little Fireball junkie so she talked her bigger cousin
Bria on it for her first ride.
As you can see Bria liked Fireball as much as Emily.
When we visited the weekend before Christmas I let Bria twist my arm
a little to get me on it. Fireball is fun but with the repetitive
forces it is more of a fall/winter ride for me as the cool temps
help keep my motion sickness from setting in as quickly.
