As all of the queues were filled to the max we weren't riding much so there was a lot of walking around and just enjoying being at the park.  While wandering around we noticed that The Boss was testing.  This meant one thing and that is that it as going to open and open soon.  As a result we joined the line forming outside of the entrance and waited for the chain to drop.

Bond was all psyched to get his Boss on.

As for how it is running with brand new track from the double dip all the way up to the turnaround?  It was running smooth and fast and that was on the second train filled with riders when it is still a bit cold.  The helix still shuffles as it has always but the rest of it was rocking.

I always hope The Grand Carousel is going to get some serious love in the off season.

No love this year but according to a few friends they saw people from Six Flags St. Louis were chatting with a company who restores carousels at the IAAPA trade show last November so maybe someday it will happen.

While I would love to see them restored I still enjoy shooting them.
