For Holiday In The Park the Studio Backlot section of Six
Flags St. Louis has been taken back in time to the late 1930's and
1940's and transformed into Tinseltown. Both Bond and I have
to say that it was wonderful seeing a stunning lady all dolled up.
I have to say it again it was really weird standing here in a
Christmas frame of mind while getting in line for a coaster. I
expect that after a few more years of Holiday In The Park it will be
normal but with this being the first time for Bond and I this has
been one of the most memorable gifts this year.
This billboard for "Santablanca" in Tinseltown is one of my favorite
bits of theming added to Holiday In The Park. It reminds me of
Disneyland or Walt Disney World The Magic Kingdom's Main Street USA
where legendary employees have their names enshrined on the windows
of the second story businesses as tribute. If you know any of
the management at Six Flags St. Louis then you know a few of the
names on the poster. As Pete Carmichael is the Park President
it is only fitting that he take the role of producer for "Santablanca".
Kringle's Kottage on the "Cut Tree Trail" section of the park is
another really nice addition to the park. Here children can
listen to Mrs. Kringle tell stories, decorate cookies, write a
letter to Santa and more.
Another great thing is at Kringle's Kottage is you can purchase the
life giving hot chocolate and the fixings for s'mores which we will
do after night falls.
