In addition to Fireball being up and running for us we had the
Screaming Eagle flying over the hillside. Bond got more than a
few laps on the Eagle while I was busy talking, taking pictures and
shooting footage. By the time I had enough I headed up the
hill to find out that it was too late for me to get an Eagle fix.
No big deal as we will be back soon and often.
The other big addition for 2016 was testing while we were there.
At the end of May The Ninja is going to get the addition of virtual
reality helmets turning it into a hybrid coaster/simulator ride.
Sky Screamer was open for us and I ended up getting a ride all by
myself. It was a bit surrealistic being all alone up there
some two hundred feet with a park almost completely empty circling
by beneath you.
I have no confirmation which department at Six Flags St. Louis is
the owner of this van but with the dozens of ride, game and
restaurant signs that cover it all over it my bet is that this is
for the sign department.
Getting back to Fireball I really like the "hot rod" looking cars on
it. Last year was the year of the "steampunk" themed rides and
2016 is the year of the hot rod.
