If you are going to build first there needs to be a little
destruction as the entire facade and station are now gone. In
this place will eventually be a large "Hall of Justice" which is the
Justice League's headquarters.
As the front of the building is currently getting ripped up and the
ground full of drilled holes in preparation for the Hall of Justice
we headed around to the side of the building over across from The
Log Flume for
easier access.
I'm not quite used to seeing a dumpster in the middle of the midway
but there have been many of these filled and carted away as everything in the
building from the air conditioning system in the ceiling (it has
been moved to the roof for clearance) all the way down to the old
concrete troughs for the boats had to go.
The easiest way to get in and gut a building is to just punch a big
hole in the wall so you can drive in and out with whatever machinery
you need to do the job.
Once inside it is pretty obvious that there are not going to be a
lot of huge exciting things to show right now during this phase of
construction ride wise. Park President Dave
Roemer is a coaster and amusement park enthusiast like us and he really has fun geeking out and showing off his new ride so
there was no way we would pass up his invitation to come on down and
take a look around.
