Before getting into how Fright Fest was we had some unpleasant business
for Bond to do.
You see Bond and I raise money each year for
Give Kids The World Village through
Coasting For Kids.
We always have a friendly wager as to who will raise the most for the charity.
The wager this year was over a type of ride neither of us are fond of, namely
any Boomerang coaster by Vekoma. We have both been on more than our
fair share of these mass produced coasters and Bond had yet to experience
this one so the bet was simple; whoever raised the least had to ride the
Boomerang at Six Flags St. Louis.
Having rode it once last year thankfully I won. I actually won by
a single dollar (Thank you Michael Morris!) so Bond had to take the Boomerang
for a ride. As you can see he was not happy but in the end it was
all for the kids and worth it, at least Bond added a new coaster to his
count.
During Fright Fest the area under Boomerang is known as Zombieville.
When visiting Zombieville remember not to feed the zombies as they are all
on a strict diet. I guess they are on a low red meat diet to help
reduce cholesterol and plaque in their arteries. One has to be mindful
of cardiovascular disease the older you get alive or undead.
A nice sunset means one thing...time for the monsters, zombies, ghouls and
ghosts to make their apperance at Fright Fest.
