For years this corner of Six Flags St. Louis between the 1904 Worlds
Fair, Chouteau's Market and the Warner Brother's Back Lot has been a quiet
and dead part of the park
While it may have been a quiet spot for a while behind the fence and facade
of old storefronts sat slowly rusting away the long forgotten and abandoned
Hannibarrels ride.
The Hannibarrels was one of Six Slags Over Mid America's; as Six Flags St.
Louis was known as then, original eight rides when the park opened in 1971.
The Hannibarrels is a "Drunken Barrels" type ride from the manufacturer
Intamin.
The Hannibarrels; which is named after a play on words with "Hannibal, Missouri"
and the "barrels" which you sit in, is a spinning ride.
