The Screaming Eagle Roller Coaster at Six Flags St. Louis, Eureka, Missouri

Last year every coaster was one train operation creating huge lines but this year only the Screaming Eagle was short trained.  With the reduced capacity we only got one ride on it opening day.

Opening day is always packed and the next day it's dead so Bond, Greg and I headed right up to the Eagle as soon as they dropped the ropes on Saturday and we got to do six laps on this classic before the station filled up and there were no more empty seats.

It's like that every day of the season so if you want a bunch of rides on the Screaming Eagle hit it first off and you will be well rewarded with a plethora of laps on it.

Even though he's been on drop rides like Superman again and again Bond is always super nervous on his first drop of the year.  Of course as soon as we hit the brakes after a 200 foot plunge he's ready for more.

One cool thing to note on a very clear day you can in fact see the Gateway Arch and downtown St. Louis from car #1.

It's way too early to guess what 2013 will bring for any new rides at Six Flags St. Louis but I did hear an interesting rumor that they might move the bumper cars elsewhere and turn this building into a year round walk through haunted house.  That would be awesome and fun especially if they staffed it with actors to heighten the scare.   Yeah it wouldn't be a high capacity ride or even a huge attraction but season long haunted houses are a rare thing and people would really enjoy it.
