Six Flags St. Louis

Once we got into the building to get our picture taken and our passes
our wait was nowhere near done. You see we purchased the new Season
Dining Pass which makes it so we have meals covered each time we visit (more
on this later). The problem was none of the people processing the
passes had any idea how to handle them. Once they figured out how
to get it to say "Dining" on my card it took another twenty minutes to find
the super special Season Dining Pass sticker that has to go on the card
and then they had to find my vouchers for my meals. It was an epic
"cluster ****".
It seems that the Season Dining Pass was going to be limited to online purchases
only and then the Tuesday before corporate decided to open it up to everyone.
Then mix in a new computer system for season pass processing this year and
multiple parks opening for the season on the same day taxing the corporate
server to it's breaking point. All of this ended up making one massive
mess that Six Flags had to work through.
So the picture above is where the line for Season Passes entered the queue...
...and it kept going...
...and kept going back by the entrance to Pandemonium...
...and back all the way around to the Grand Carousel's entrance.
I have to hand it to Six Flags St. Louis' management because shortly after
the line went out of control they were out there giving people passes to
come back another day to process their season pass. Six Flags St.
Louis may not be high up on the pecking order with corporate when it comes
to new investment but Park President Dave Roemer and his team really try
to do the best with what they have and to take great care of their guests.
