Daredevil Daze Enthusiast Event

Every year Six Flags St. Louis throws with the American Coaster Enthusiasts
Heart Of America Region the Daredevil Daze enthusiast event. The event
is a blast but over the last three years it has became the Negative-G Family
Reunion as about a third of attendees are all friends from the Negative-G
Forums.
Being an Assistant Regional Rep, our very own Greg is one of the folks who
puts on this wonderful event. Here he is hanging out with Andrew "Beastbass"
as we all get our lanyards, nametags and passes for our early morning and
late night exclusive ride time, lunch and Screaming Eagle behind the scenes
tour that are all part of the event.
Here's the Regional Representatives Jeff Mast and Jennifer Lovesee-Mast
who ran the whole registration for the event.
Daredevil Daze is really one of the best ways to experience Six Flags St.
Louis for several reasons. First we get a couple of the coasters before
the park opens in the morning, in this case Mr. Freeze and the Screaming
Eagle and then we also get an hour on two more coasters in the dark after
the park closes, Batman and American Thunder this year. Then the park
is normally dead when they have it so you get a virtual exclusive park time
and to top it all off they always give us a really unique walk back like
last years behind the scenes tour of the Scooby Do dark ride or this years
Screaming Eagle tour. It's a great event and you should join us next
year.
American Thunder is a favorite of everyone so of course we spent a bunch
of the day getting some rides on this.
Since American Thunder is no longer Evel Knievel they had to paint over
the signs that laid out his career. Replacing them are a bunch of
signs that give the history of roller coasters that was put together with
Six Flags and the American Coaster Enthusiasts. The final sign is
this nice one promoting the club so hopefully we'll have a few more people
joining us at Daredevil Daze next year.
