As we were walking down Mr. Freeze's queue we noticed that Evel Knievel
was open. So we decided to ride. Bond and I headed to the front
seat for his first ride on it. This was to be his first wooden coaster
so he was a little nervous to try it but was a trooper about it.
Here's Mike (Illinois on the -G Forums) Greg and Kevin taking Evel Knievel
for a spin. It actually worked out nice because they got a ride and
since there was no one in the station they got to move up and join Bond
and I for his first ride.
As you can tell by his grin Bond liked Evel Knievel. It was interesting
watching him on the ride because he has this serious and almost stressed
look on his face. I asked him several times through the ride if he
was ok and he replied with a yes. About the time we were turning around
by the Moon Cars before heading back to the station I heard a "I...LOVE...THIS"
come out of his lips. It was awesome.
There was only one train on the track as Evel Knievel's second train was
in pieces with the seat backs in the transfer shed and the chassis somewhere
else.
