A Daddy-Bond Day At The Park
June 14, 2008

After closing out Hurricane harbor we headed up the hill to grab another
Water Street Cab Company ride when Bond asked if he could ride the smaller
version of the Rush Street Flyer that is in the Bugs Bunny National Park.
Thilled that he wanted to go and try something new we headed for the Marvin
The Martian Camp Invasion but unfortunately it was closed for the night.
So I asked if there was anything else that he wanted to try?
He looked around for a minute and then declared that he wanted to go and
give the Bugs Bunny Ranger Pilots for a try. Thrilled that he was
willing to go and give a new ride a try we headed right to it and got him
on.
He was a little bit nervous getting on but a couple of seconds after the
ride began the nerves were all gone and he was loving the ride!
That few seconds went turned a fun day at a park into one of my best days
at a park ever! For years Bond and I have been having fun going to
parks but he has sensory issues due to a condition that he has that have
kept him from being able to handle all but a few rides so he hasn't been
on hardly anything. This was like a switch had been thrown and he
suddenly figured out that rides are fun and he just went with it.
