A Daddy-Bond Day At The Park
June 14, 2008
Page One
The thing that I miss most about not living down the block from Holiday
World is that Bond and I haven't been able to make our weekly park visit.
To a little extent golf has taken it's place with the two of us but it's
still nice to get out and enjoy a day at a park together. So we decided
to head on down to Six Flags St. Louis this June for a Daddy-Bond day at
the park. Evel Knievel greeted us on the horizon as we entered the
park. It wasn't due to open until the next Thursday but Bond and I
really looked forward to watching it test later that day.
Since our trip wasn't about coasters; instead having fun with Bond I asked
him where he wanted to go and he was ready to go with an answer as he wanted
to head straight to the Fort Fun play area in Six Flags St. Louis' Looney
Tunes National Park.
Fort Fun is a massive play structure with things to climb on, run around
in and slide down. Bond must have done about twenty laps of climbing
up to the top and sliding back down.
Thankfully right in Fort Fun there's a water fountain so that kids who get
parched running up and sliding down can get a drink.
