Six Flags St. Louis Eureka, Missouri 2002 Page Two
Colossus is built in the center of the park which happens to be themed to the Worlds Fair that was held in St. Louis. George Ferris moved his original Ferris Wheel from the Chicago Columbian Exposition down to St. Louis for their fair and it's a nice tribute to have another Ferris Wheel in the World's Fair. Now if they could just restore the carousel and move it from Britannia to the World's Fair the area would be perfect.
One of the nice touches that parks built in the 1960's and 70's were these tunnels made of ivy. They are always nice, cool and a great place to rest but unfortunately spots like these are disappearing at other parks.
After emerging from a pair of ivy tunnels Mr. Freeze is ready to give you an icy blast.
