Nestled in this area is a ride
that has barely ever operated...the Barrels. It's basically a
tea cup ride and year after year they sit idle.
This is the Ninja! It's
not the most friendly ride but it has it's good moments.
The Ninja was built by Vekoma
in 1986 for the Vancouver Expo and Six Flags purchased it for their
1988 season. I think this is one of the first Vekoma coasters
in the US.
The coaster uses track as well
as trains from Arrow Dynamics. Vekoma especially in their early
days didn't have the money to design their own track and cars so they
licensed Arrow's design for their rides.
The Ninja has a nice pause
before heading on down.
