Mindbender may be thirty-some years old but it still rides like it
was brand new.
One of the things the previous management of Six Flags did that I hated
was to sell coaster trains as billboards. One of Mindbender's trains
has been bought by Spree Gum and wrapped up. Looks like crap.
Thankfully the wrap is just a big sticker and from the looks of it people
have been slowly peeling it off.
Mindbender is built into some great terrain, the loops are forceful in a
positive way and the airtime is just as forceful in a negative way and the
diving helix in the middle of the ride just rocks. Still Mindbender
is my #2 steel coaster.
Here's Greg during our Mindbender marathon. After missing a few years
of road trips due to grad school it was awesome to have him back on the
road with us.
