If you like plenty of airtime and a maddengly out of control ride
then Bizarro is the ride for you.
I have to admit that I was not a fan of Bizarro the last time I visited
Six Flags New England. The main reason I didn't care for it was that
I had thighs that were bruised to hell from riding the Coney Island Cyclone
and El Toro at Six Flags Great Adventure and that combined with the ride
ops on Bizarro at that point ramming the lap bars into you with all of their
force as a result Bizarro was extremely painful. Not being bruised
this time the ejector seat airtime still hurts a bit but it was nowhere
near as much.
The first half of Bizarro is an out and back with hills on the way out,
this turnaround...
...and then some more hills on the way back.
Bizarro opened in 2000 as the big addition when Six Flags "flagged" Riverside
Park a Six Flags park. It originally was Superman: Ride of Steel
until 2009 when Six Flags renamed it Bizarro with some theming and on ride
audio. If you are not a comic book geek Bizarro is a weird alternate
universe version of Superman. I always thought it kind of weird that
Six Flags renamed Superman: Ride of Steel after a character that most
of the populace is clueless about.
