The Twisted Colossus rollercoaster - American Coaster Enthusiasts Coaster Con 42 at Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, California

What is really fun with Twisted Colossus is that with steel track and the "turn it up to 11" design of Alan Schilke you can have one train twisting this way, the other train twisting another direction...

...and you end up with an wonderful element like this.

Being able to look up and see another trainload of people speeding alongside is really fun.

The times when both trains match up and are racing it really makes Twisted Colossus so much more fun.  As a rider you are always looking around to where you are going to have the next run in with the other train.

If the ride operators are not able to dispatch in enough time; which they really work hard to do, then your train will go over the drop alone and while Twisted Colossus is still fun it does loose a little of the rides magic.
