From there Gold Rusher winds around the hillside with a few sharp but
short drops and some really tight turns.
There are just two thousand five hundred and ninety feet of track but as
Gold Rusher keeps twisting and turning along the hillside the ride really seems longer than
it is.
What is great about Gold Rusher is that in a park full of extreme thrill
machines this wonderful coaster that everyone can enjoy hasn't been
thrown to the wayside.
Just like Ninja I found Gold Rusher to be one of my "go to" rides at
Magic Mountain. There never was a wait and often you could just
stay as long as you wanted. So I did.
Finishing up the ride Gold Rusher plunges you into a wicked helix
finale. Unfortunately I had to get creative to shoot much of Gold
Rusher as over the last forty-eight years a forest has grown up over the
ride.
