When Greezed Lightnin' was built it was one of the first of the shuttle-loop coasters made by Schwarzkopf.

Instead of a flywheel powered launch system of the later shuttle loops Greezed Lightnin' had a weight inside of this tower at the front of the ride that falls and launches the train.

They were working on the launch system when we were there.  Most of the day they were hauling cable up to the top of the tower to start threading it into the launch mechanism.
