Greezed Lightnin' Front Spike Construction @ Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom

Instead of a flywheel powered launch system of the later shuttle loops Greezed Lightnin' had a weight inside of this tower at the front of the ride that falls and launches the train.

They were working on the launch system when we were there.  Most of the day they were hauling cable up to the top of the tower to start threading it into the launch mechanism.

Greezed Lightnin' Rear Spike Construction @ Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom

Here's the rear spike.  I always had fun riding Tidal Wave in the front of the train several times then hopping in the back seat and getting shocked when I shot way up this tower instead just a little bit.
