Six Flags Kentucky Kingdom Louisville, Kentucky 1999 Page Six
After the turnaround there's a series of three speed hills where you WILL fly out of your seat there's no ifs ands or buts on this ride! Make sure your seat belt is adjusted to your riding style. Personally I keep mine as loose as is safe because I love being thrown up on a wood coaster.
Here's the back turn after the speed hills. The steel structure in the back is Twisted Sisters which we'll get to later.
Here's a shot of the train going into the lift hill structure. Basically you turn around again and head back out towards Twisted Sisters with a few more air hills and then back around into the station. Thunder Run is themed to a police chase where bootleggers (alcohol not MP3's) were chased by the police around the back roads of Kentucky. While it doesn't remind me of driving a car filled with moonshine it sure is fun.
