Life is always changing and it is really changing for us. Namely Bond in a few weeks is leaving home to move several hundred miles away and he is getting married.

I don't have a little boy anymore.

The days of deciding to just take the boy and head out to a park whenever we needed a day of coasters is coming to an end. What did I do on one of the few free weekends before the wedding...I grabbed my boy and headed out for a day at the park for just the two of us.

Feeling a little bit nostalgic to back when I was a kid we headed off to The Demon to start off the day.

The Demon roller coaster at Six Flags Great America, Gurnee, Illinois

I remember back to when I was little the rides that dominated the skyline the then Marriott's Great America was the Sky Trek Tower, the Sky Whirl and The Demon.

Despite The Demon being some forty-three years old Six Flags Great America has added some of the old fun back to the ride. Not only were they playing the old Demon song in the queue but the sound effects have returned to the Demon cave.
