Coming to a stop on the brake run it is time for the all of The
Joker's insanity to come to an end.
After a quick drop down into the main brake run it is time for a little
sanity and to escape from the clutches of the "Ace of Knaves" and go on
with your normal not psychotic life.
If you would like a little trip over to the good side of things Batman:
The Ride is right next to The Joker.
One of the rides that The Joker replaced was the East River Crawler.
Don't worry Crawler fans as it is being rebuilt over by The Demon on the
site where The Orbit used to run. I'm not sure if it is going to
keep the classic name or if the park will rename it to fit in with the
County Fair area that it will reside in. As you can see it was not
quite ready to go, it might not be ready this year but it is returning.
Here I am with my mother. I love going to parks with her because
it is great seeing in her expressions how amazed she is at how
everything has changed since her days as a girl going to Chicago's
Riverview Park. The expressions of amazement that come to her face
when she sees the latest thrill ride remind me of what an amazing time
it is to love what I do.
While walking around Six Flags Great America she stopped and looked at
her favorite ride the Whirligig and said to me "I might not be able to
ride anymore but coming here reminds me of what it was like to be
young". I think we all need to remember that feeling every once in
a while in order to keep a little more life left in us as time goes on.
