On some of the rides you will flip over and over while on others you might get a couple of flips. 



The ride is really one big fun game of chance where riders are hoping for a big jackpot of flips, flips and more flips.



Even if you don't flip, or don't want to the unpredictable rocking motion of the seat psychologically really throws you for a spin giving the rider emotional highs and terror filled moments full of emotional release.



It is like a good movie.  People go into a horror movie to be scared or they go into dramas to cry.  Either way it is an emotional release that in the end makes us feel good.



Coasters are the same way and a well crafted one is not about the physics but it is about playing with what a rider expects, messing with their fears, throwing some unknown into the mix and giving you a rush or terror filled emotional release by the time you unlock the restraints and head off to have another experience with your friends and family at your local amusement park.
