I do love my work schedule as it allows me park visits on week days in
the summer so I can avoid the lines. With a five minute wait for
X-Flight like the majority of the coasters at Six Flags Great America
whenever we happened by we
jumped in line and got a ride.
The only bad thing about light crowds is that there was only one side of
the Great American Eagle open so there was no racing for us.
The Eagle has always been kind of underrated I think due to the
roughness on the helix and over use of trim brakes but it was running
fantastic for us and there was plenty of airtime on the way out and on
the way back.
While I was heartbroken to not be able to take my favorite spinning ride
at Six Flags Great America for a ride it is good to see that the
Fiddlers Fling (a Schwarzkopf designed Calypso ride) was getting some
tender loving care from the park.
With no extreme lateral forces to be had on Fiddlers Fling we headed
across the midway to have some fun on Goliath.
