During the day time Fright Fest is very kid friendly including turning
the haunted house that exists in the trough for Roaring Rapids into a trick
or treat trail during daylight hours.
Saturdays for Fright Fest always ends up packed but the crowds don't show
up until late in the afternoon. Needless to say Bond and I enjoyed
all of the empty queues where we were able to walk on most of the coasters
at Six Flags Great America like Vertical Velocity.
We even ended up getting the Little Dipper all to ourselves for a "Zen ride".
The big thing we wanted to do during our visit was to check out the brand
new Goliath now that it has had most of a season to get broken in.
The last time we were at Six Flags Great America it was for
Goliath's Media Day and with only a single train, the constraints of
the media and a whole lot of enthusiasts attending we only had three rides
on it that day.
