The big thing that Goliath is missing is an insane airtime filled
first drop like Outlaw Run with its pre drop dip that gives you enough speed
where you are ejected from your seat as you crest and head down it.
Goliaths drop is fun bot not insane. Without that setup that Outlaw
Run has the rest of the ride is a little lacking.
Despite not being at the top of my wood coaster list this hundred or so
feet of Goliath is absolutely perfect and I just can't get enough of it.
You just hang there against your restraints and if you look "up" there is
nothing but the ground down there. I love it when you invert the ride
suddenly goes silent as the shock of hanging upside down takes all of the
screams away and replaces it with shock.
Goliath is not my number 1, it is not in my top 5 but it is still a hell
of a coaster and an awesome addition to Six Flags Great America.
Bond and I were needed over at Raging Bull at 1:30 for our task so we hit
X-Flight for a ride on the way.
