Six Flags Great America

Viper is a twister style coaster as it twists back and froth around,
in and under itself.
It's design is based on the infamous and legendary Coney Island but Six
Flags who designed and built this ride in house tweaked the design a little
bit and like the original it's a hell of a ride.
It's easy to miss Triple Play as it's tucked into a corner of Hometown Square
next to the train station.
While it may be easy to miss it's as ride that Bond and I try not
to because it is so much fun. It has the spinning motion of a Scrambler
but it mixes that with airtime to make an amazing ride.
Finally you know there's no way we'd visit Six Flags Great America without
spending a bunch of time on The Whizzer.
One of the things about The Whizzer is it is such a timeless design.
I mean that in a couple of ways. First off it still gives the same
ride smooth experience as when it opened in 1976 and secondly it still has
the same appeal and people never stop loving this ride. From their
first ride on it as a kid to taking their kids on it everyone needs a ride
on The Whizzer and it brings a smile to my face that maybe one day I'll
be taking my grandchildren on it for a spin.
Two days at Six Flags Great America were just what Bond and I needed.
With the addition of X-Flight next year I think Bond and I will be making
several runs up to Gurnee to get some rides in. Of course we'll have
more photos for you (and maybe something a little different that Bond and
I are working on) then.
