I love the Demon!  It has wonderful theming and a fun zippy ride.  I wish that some more of the theming was still in place like the cheesy audio track that you would listen to while in line and the pool of blood that came from the waterfall and sat under the corkscrew.  When the coaster passed over the pool of blood there were several fountains that would suddenly spray the red water up to the coaster.  The coaster wouldn't get wet but the effect was cool.

Well the County Fair Midway has changed over the years and the big change for 2001 is the addition of Deja Vu.

Deja Vu is a Super Boomerang from Vekoma and was very very delayed  as it finally opened to the public in October.

All I can say when I see this picture is that I miss the Sky Whirl.  Deja Vu took it's place this year and yes I do like the addition of a coaster but where else could you sit down for 15 minutes, cool off from a nice breeze from Lake Michigan even on a hot day and if you're alone with someone special snuggle and make out!  In my opinion parks need rides like that and Great America is now lacking in that category.

These pictures are from June and as you can see besides the landscaping there was still plenty of work to do on Deja Vu.  This is the front of the station.
