Speaking of something better Superman Ultimate Flight was our next
stop.
Ignore the red track in the foreground as it's not worth your time but the
track behind it is a lot of fun.
Superman Ultimate Flight is just like the copy over at Six Flags Great America
with just two trains and layout wise is a copy of Bollinger and Mabillard's
first flying coaster of the same name at Six Flags Over Georgia. Like
the other two Superman flying coasters the highlight of the ride is it's
pretzel loop where you get extreme negative g's followed a split second
by extreme positive g's.
Here's a nice shot of Superman flying overhead.
After hitting everything (that was running that is) at Six Flags Great Adventure
we hit El Toro once more before heading out. I had fun at Six Flags
Great Adventure but I don't know it was missing something. Maybe being
one of the larger parks in the chain I expected more. Still we had
fun and there are some fun rides there. If I ever find myself in the
area I'm sure to go back.
With the first park on our trip under our belts it was time to head off
to the Big Apple to make a pilgrimage to where coasters and the amusement
park began...Coney
Island.
