As we end ou
r first day at the park a little side note.
I love rocking chairs at parks. They need to be everywhere
because sitting on down and rocking back and forth while hanging
with your friends just adds to the relaxing experience of a day at a
park. With the Fiesta bay Boardwalk being revitalized for this
year Jeffery Siebert and the rest of his marketing staff spent their
winter building all of these chairs as they rightly thought that a
Boardwalk needed some rocking chairs.
Speaking of Jeff here he is bright and early for day two of Fiesta
Fest with a bag full of goodies for those who could answer trivia
questions throughout the day.
Jeff has always been a huge friend of the coaster enthusiast
community and especially of the American Coaster Enthusiasts since
his days years ago at Kings Island, Schlitterbahn and now at Six
Flags Fiesta Texas. Back during Fiesta Fest he was just the
parks Marketing Manager but just recently he was named the Park
President of Six Flags Fiesta Texas and I can't think of anyone else
I want to see running a park. He loves his park, the guests
and his work and he deserves all of the good things that come his
way. Loving coasters as he does I hold out hope that
eventually he will move up into running all of Six Flags.
Starting out day two of Fiesta Fest was a walk back to Poltergeist
for the first ride of the day.
In 1999 Six Flags purchased two of the Premiere Rides launched
coasters. One of them ended up at Six Flags America as Joker's
Jinx and the other ended up at Six Flags Fiesta Texas as
Poltergeist.
Poltergeist launches you out of the station from zero to sixty miles
per hour in a few seconds into a giant spaghetti bowl tangle of
track. Poltergeist flips you upside down four times and leaves
you pretty disoriented as tangled as it is.
