Roadrunner Express Rollercoaster at Six Flags Fiesta Texas, San Antonio, Texas

Another of the rides that I was really looking forward to experiencing at Six Flags Fiesta Texas is the Road Runner Express.

Road Runner Express is a mine train designed by the legendary Arrow Dynamics.

Arrow pioneered steel coasters with their installation of the Matterhorn at Disneyland. They built the first mine train; the Runaway Mine Train at Six Flags Over Texas, and this was their last mine train before the company went into bankruptcy in 2001 and was enveloped by S&S Power.

Like The Rattler/Iron Rattler that it is intertwined with the Road Runner Express uses the quarry walls to add to the thrill of the ride.

There is a common factor between the Road Runner Express, The Iron Rattler and Batman. All three of them share the same designer Alan Shilke. Alan designed Road Runner while working for Arrow as a young engineer. He now designs for his own company Ride Centerline LLC.
