I also like how you can see mixed emotions like terror and joy on the faces of riders at the same time as our conscious mind enjoys the ride while the unconscious fear of falling kicks in.



The walk to the lower portion of Iron Rattler was easy but going up was something else.



Jeff and Neil gave plenty of warnings to the group of us.  "Hundred foot climb", "no water up there" and "poisonous snakes and scorpions" were all mentioned several times to ward off those who were not quite fit enough to handle the hike.



Bond and I didn't see any of the many poisonous critters native to the region but we did run across this skink on our way to the top of the quarry.



At the top of the hill there were a few Road Runner Express riders surprised to find a herd of cameras pointed at them while we were up there.
