		One Final Visit

Nothing lasts forever.  Sadly, even theme parks.

		With the merger of
the Six Flags and Cedar Fair chains last year it was only matter of time before Six Flags
America, located in the Washington D.C. suburbs was going to be put on
the chopping block.  Six Flags America is an ok park, but with
Kings Dominion, which is an amazing park, also serving the Washington
D.C. market I wasn't a bit surprised in May of this year when the news hit the net
that this was going to be the parks final season.

Within 24 hours Bond, Travis, and I through a series of texts got the wheels in motion for a road
trip to visit Six Flags America before it's gates closed for one last
		time.  Travis
and I have visited Six Flags America before, but this would be Bonds
		first and final visit.

After spending the majority of the previous day driving from Illinois to
Washington D.C. with a small stop off at the
		Columbus Zoo &
Aquarium, we were ready to ride.

As we made it through security and into the park it was pretty obvious
that quite a few people were visiting Six Flags America to experience
all of it as possible for the time remaining.

The question in my mind as we headed deeper into Six Flags America with
each minute bringing us closer to it shutting down was were we attending
a dark and depressing funeral or a joyous celebration of life?
