After the games (we wouldn't find out who won medals until two days
later at Kings Dominion) it was time for a totally terrifying ride
on Wonder Woman's Lasso of Truth. I don't get the name as the
"Lasso of Truth" doesn't scream Star Flyer; which is what the ride model
is known by, but hey I guess Six Flags figures they might as well name
something after Wonder Woman since they have the rights to the DC
characters for the next eighty years or so.
Coaster Con is full of a lot of special extras including this ride.
Instead of spinning we were slowly raised to the top of Wonder Woman in
the rides "maintenance mode" which left us just slowly swaying there in
the wind as the swing inched further away from the ground. We were
allowed to bring along cameras (hence the no spinning) and allowed to
snap as many photos as we wanted.
I have to say that I am really proud of Todd because back in 2010 we had
to force him onto the Eifel Tower at
Kings
Dominion as he is terrified of heights. Fast forward eight
years and here he is swinging in the wind with a couple of hundred feet
of air beneath his feet and he isn't freaking out.
One can get a wonderful view of the twisted tangle of track that is
Jokers Jinx as you slowly rise into the sky on Wonder Woman.
Jokers Jinx is a Premiere launched coaster that opened in 1999 which was
the year when Adventure World became Six Flags America.
