The Superman Ride Of Steel Rollercoaster At Six Flags America, Largo, MD

After defeating the Joker it was time to leap over tall buildings with Superman Ride of Steel.

Superman was added in 2000 and has a 205 foot first drop.

Superman Ride of Steel is about two things only...speed and airtime.

Superman was designed by Werner Stengel and built by Intamin.  I like Intamin's hyper-coaster trains because they're comfortable and have plenty of room but Six Flags Americas trains looked like crap.  The paint looked like it had been put on with numerous cans of spray paint and the cars were all dinged up.  If you're going to have a world class coaster like Superman in your park please take some pride and keep it looking good.
