Peeking through a hole in the fence you get a better look at the walkway
as well as the building that encloses the American Plunge's lift.
There are also quite a few footers in the water.
Here is a better view of how much has been cleared between Wildfire and
Powder Keg. It really looks like most of the work over the off
season has been dressing up this area.
These posts over by Wildfire are new from last year. What's
interesting is the footers in the previous photo head straight for this
section. My guess is whatever is being built is going to go over
the walkway here. Chances are we'll have a roof over this at
sometime this year as construction progresses. There is a bunch of
construction straight ahead past Wildfire's first drop. When
riding if you sit on the right side of the train you get a wonderful
view of footers for a turn or a helix.
Moving over by Powder Keg the walkway where guests could watch that
coasters launch has been closed off and removed. While I have not
heard anything from Silver Dollar City outside of hints I think it would
be safe to bet that this will be the site of a new rollercoaster in
2027.
Outside of the views from the midway by Powder Keg and Wildfire if you
take the Frisco Silver Dollar Line Railroad for a journey out through
the woods you can see that there a bunch of intermodal containers and
trailers off in the woods and a plot next to Powder Keg where there is a
lot of dirt being moved.
Silver Dollar City won't be making the announcement until August so
until then we'll all have to keep guessing as to exactly what it is
going to be.
