With the speeches over the top of the Silver Dollar City Resort was up, up, and away.

After a few moments the piece was in place, fireworks were triggered and we were able to go in and take a look.

Here is a view of Table Rock Lake from the Silver Dollar City Resort's lobby. The resort's outdoor swimming pool is going to sit in this clearing. There's still a lot of work to be done to get the resort ready but this will be the start of making Silver Dollar City an even bigger attraction.

The American Plunge at Silver Dollar City, Branson, Missouri

Back at the park Travis and I were curious as to the new for 2027 construction that we saw last year. As the ride intersects the American Plunge Log Flume we decided to take it for a ride.

There has been quite a change to the flume with the construction as its tunnel has been lengthened and there are walls up all around the bit before the lift to keep prying eyes away.

One side note even though it was plenty warm during my stay which included temperatures into the eighties, the water on the American Plunge and Mystic River Falls is absolutely NOT warm. If you need a little jolt to wake up by getting doused with ice cold water then ignore my warning and go take a ride on The American Plunge. If you don't need that pick-me-up then avoid both of the water rides at Silver Dollar City until mid-April to May.
