Carrie and I had planned a nice relaxing weekend down in Branson on the lake where we could take it easy, relax, and depressurize from the insanely busy year.  With Fire in the Hole closing we decided to head on over to Silver Dollar City for an evening to get one last ride.  As you can see by the crowd we weren't the only ones needing one more spin on Fire in the Hole.



 Fire in the Hole is a favorite of mine due to the story, how much fun the ride is, lots of great memories, and it is the only coaster that I can get my wife Carrie on.



With that in mind we wanted one last spin on the original Fire in the Hole which was closing forever on the day of our visit.



Shortly after entering the park, due to my work as the Regional Representative for the American Coaster Enthusiasts Heart of America Region, I got a call that caused my heart to skip a beat.  Dalton at Silver Dollar City called and asked if I'd like to join some of the assembled press who were there reporting on Fire in the Hole's last ride for a tour of the new Fire in the Hole.



After recovering from my heart skipping a few beats I headed on down to take a look at all of the progress on the new Fire in the Hole.
