Fire in the Hole at Silver Dollar City, Branson, Missouri

The real town of Marmaros was set on fire by the gang of outlaws called the Baldknobbers.  That real life event is what inspired the story for Fire in the hole.  As you start off on Fire in the Hole you can see the town alight in the distance.

Next we ran into one of Fire in the Hole's cars.

The original trains for Fire in the Hole look cool, especially as they were made in house back in 1972, but the new trains look amazing.

The trains were really cool to take a look at up close.  There's all sorts of little touches that are going to take this ride to the next level including on board audio.  Also the slatted floor is a nice touch so the water that is splashed onto the train during the splashdown finale can drain away.

As you can see by the wear on the track that the train for Fire in the Hole has been making its way around the track.  For most of the ride Fire in the Hole will be powered by onboard electric motors that will take the ride to the top of the building before letting gravity take over for the rides three drops.
