Looking from across the lake you can see some of the building facade
that has been added to one end of the giant Dollar General store.
Here is a closer view from down in Firemans Landing. The big
rumor that has been floating around for the last couple of years is that
Silver Dollar City is going to rebuild the aged Fire in the Hole ride.
If you look around a little bit you can see that there is a large hole
in the building.
With a nice zoom lens you can get a look inside of this massive
structure. Rumors are that Rocky Mountain Coasters will be doing
the track for the rebuilt Fire in the Hole. At least according to
the rumors the old Fire in the Hole, which opened fifty years ago in
1972, has reached the end of its life and instead of just scrapping it
the new version, possibly with a few more tricks, will take up all of
the space in here. What I'm curious about is if they remove the
old Fire in the Hole building what will take its place? At the
least my guess is they will connect to the pathway that goes to Outlaw
Run. What I's like to see if that space used for a station for a
coaster that dives down the mountainside towards Table Rock Lake.
My guess is this path at the back of Firemens Landing that leads up to a
fence is where guests will cross the train tracks to get to the new
ride.
