In addition to Mystic River Falls being new for the 2020 season
the Rivertown Smokehouse is new. We decided to give it a try for
lunch.
For my meal I went with their brisket basket with roasted Brussels
sprouts and baked beans for a side. The entire bottom of the
basket was filled with brisket that literally melted in your mouth.
On top of that the beans had a great kick to them and if you are going
to get me to eat a vegetable roasted Brussels sprouts is the way to go
for me. In all reality there is nowhere you can go in Silver
Dollar City and not find something amazing to eat. The Rivertown
Smokehouse might give my favorite Lumbercamp Skillet a run for its money
this was that good.
Of course we spent part of our trip getting back in time with the
wickedly twisted Time Traveler.
Like the food at the park, the shopping at the park, the experiences at
the park and the rides at the park nothing is ever a letdown at Silver
Dollar City. To us the area feels like home, to me the park feels
like home and each time we have to hop into the Toyota and head back to
Illinois it gets harder and harder. Carrie and I really look
forward to moving down here one of these days.
To round this trip report here is a photo of me and a couple of cocks.
As "Top Gear" is a favorite show of ours. Presenter James May
tends to use the phrase "Oh Cock" when he messes things up on the show.
Heading for the exit after a really fun day with my wife and son I saw
these roosters and as we all speak fluent movie and pop culture quotes I
copied James May.
As a result Carrie directed me to pose for this photo.
So on that great disappointment this is the end of this trip report.
I am looking back to heading back in November for the American Coaster
Enthusiasts Coaster Christmas. Sadly though Bond will not be along
as he ships out to basic training three days prior.
